Frequently asked question
These are a few questions our clients frequently ask. Check them out and don’t be scared to contact us with any other questions you have.
Puppy Health & Care
Our Sires and Dams undergo rigorous health testing recommended by the parent club and the AKC. This includes official OFA evaluations for hip and elbow dysplasia, annual CAER eye clearings, and comprehensive DNA profiling to screen for breed-specific genetic conditions like Exercise-Induced Collapse (EIC) and Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA).
We believe early socialization is vital for a well-rounded dog. Our puppies are raised inside our home and are introduced daily to standard household noises, various surfaces, gentle handling, and early crate training boundaries. This ensures they grow into confident, fearless, and adaptable companions.
Before leaving our home, your puppy will be up-to-date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and deworming treatments. They will also receive a comprehensive nose-to-tail wellness examination by a licensed veterinarian and will come with their official health certificate.
Yes! We stand behind the health and genetics of our litters. Every puppy from Labrador Retrievers Home comes with a written health guarantee covering debilitating genetic defects, giving you peace of mind as you welcome your new family member.
Labradors grow quickly and require proper nutrition to support healthy bone and joint development. We will provide you with a detailed puppy packet outlining the exact high-quality large-breed puppy food they are currently eating, along with a recommended feeding schedule.
The Adoption & Delivery Process
The first step is to fill out our adoption inquiry form directly on our website. This helps us understand your lifestyle, living arrangements, and preferences so we can carefully match you with the perfect puppy that suits your family dynamic.
Yes, all of our litters are fully registered with the American Kennel Club (AKC). Your adoption packet will include the necessary registration paperwork to officially transfer ownership into your name.
Your puppy will arrive with a complete adoption folder containing their AKC registration forms, veterinarian health records, vaccination history, written health guarantee, and a helpful puppy care guide filled with training tips.
We safely deliver puppies to loving families worldwide. We can coordinate professional, temperature-controlled ground transport directly to your door, or arrange a flight with a dedicated flight nanny who keeps your puppy safe and comfortable in the airplane cabin throughout the entire journey.
Absolutely. You can specify your preferences for gender and coat color (Black, Yellow, or Chocolate) on your adoption application. We work closely with our waitlist families to match them with a puppy that meets both their visual preferences and personality needs.
